How to Price a Store in PKR, INR or EUR and Get Paid in USDT
October 10, 2026 · 4 min read
You can keep your store priced in PKR, INR, EUR or any other currency and still get paid in USDT. Set your own exchange rate once, for example 1 USDT = 285 PKR. At checkout each order total is converted to USDT at that rate, rounded up so you never receive less, and the rate is locked for that order. Customers see both amounts, and your books stay in your own currency.
How the conversion works
- The customer checks out an order of, say, Rs 2,800.
- The total is divided by your rate: 2,800 ÷ 285 = 9.8246 USDT.
- It is rounded up to the next cent: 9.83 USDT.
- Unique digits are added to identify the payment: the customer pays, for example, 9.8317 USDT. Why the extra digits?
- The payment page shows “Order total 2,800.00 PKR · 1 USDT = 285 PKR”, so the customer can follow the maths.
Examples with different currencies
| Order total | Your rate (example) | Converted | Rounded up |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rs 2,800 (PKR) | 1 USDT = 285 PKR | 9.8246 | 9.83 USDT |
| ₹1,999 (INR) | 1 USDT = 88.50 INR | 22.5876 | 22.59 USDT |
| €49 (EUR) | 1 USDT = 0.86 EUR | 56.9767 | 56.98 USDT |
These rates are only examples. You set the real rates yourself.
Step 1: Set your store currency
In WooCommerce go to WooCommerce → Settings → General → Currency and pick your currency. Nothing else in your store changes: prices, taxes, coupons and shipping stay exactly as they are.
Step 2: Add your exchange rate
In the Clearqo dashboard open Settings → Currencies & exchange rates and enter how much of your currency equals 1 USDT, for example PKR = 285. You can add up to 30 currencies.
When you save the payment settings in WooCommerce, the plugin checks that a rate exists for your store currency. If one is missing, it warns you. USD is the one exception: it is treated as 1:1 with USDT unless you set your own USD rate.
Step 3: Test one order
Place a small test order and check that the payment page shows your currency total and the rate, and that the USDT amount is what you expect.
How do I choose the rate?
It is your decision, and that is deliberate: no automatic market feed can change your prices without you knowing. Common approaches:
- The rate you actually get. Use the price at which you would sell USDT for your currency, for example on Binance P2P or Convert. Then the USDT you receive is worth your price.
- A small buffer. Some merchants set the rate slightly in their favour to cover price moves and conversion costs. Keep it reasonable and transparent. Customers can see the rate on the payment page.
- Update regularly. Review the rate daily, or whenever the market moves noticeably. Changes apply to new orders only.
Why the rate is locked per order
When an invoice is created, its rate is saved with it. If you change your rate five minutes later, customers who are already paying are not affected. They still owe exactly what their payment page shows. This avoids the classic problem where a customer pays the amount they were shown but the store expects a different one.
What gets recorded on the order?
When the payment is confirmed, the received USDT is converted back into your currency at the locked rate, rounded to two decimals. That value, paid_price_amount in the API, is what the order is compared with:
- 9.8317 USDT × 285 = 2,802.03 PKR received, which is at least the 2,800 total, so the order is marked paid.
- The order note reads something like “Clearqo payment confirmed: 9.8317 USDT (= 2802.03 PKR) via PAY”.
- If less than the total arrives (approved after a review), the order stays on hold with a note instead of completing. See wrong-amount payments.
For TeraWallet top-ups, the wallet is credited with that converted amount, meaning exactly what was received, in your currency.
What if no rate is set?
The invoice is refused with 400 clq_no_rate. An order is never created with a wrong amount. In WooCommerce the customer sees a neutral “USDT payment is temporarily unavailable” message, and the order notes tell you the real reason. Add the rate and checkout works again immediately.
Stores that show several currencies
If you use a currency-switcher plugin and orders can be placed in more than one currency, add a rate for every currency customers can check out in. The plugin sends each order’s own currency. If an invoice’s currency ever doesn’t match the order’s, the order is put on hold for you to check, never completed silently.
Using the API?
Send the currency with the amount:
{
"amount": "2800",
"currency": "PKR",
"order_id": "1042"
}
The response includes price_amount, price_currency, the locked rate, and the USDT amount_to_pay. Credit or fulfil based on paid_price_amount. Full examples: API tutorial.
FAQ
Can the rate update automatically?
No, and that is by design. You stay in control of the rate, so your effective prices never change without your knowledge.
Why does the customer pay a few rupees more?
The conversion is rounded up to the next cent, and the unique identifying digits add a fraction of a cent. Together that is usually a tiny amount, and it guarantees you never receive less than your price.
Which currencies are supported?
Any three-letter currency code your store uses, as long as you set a rate for it.
