How to Let Customers Top Up a TeraWallet Balance with USDT
October 10, 2026 · 4 min read
To let customers top up a TeraWallet balance with USDT, install a USDT payment gateway that supports wallet top-ups, enable it at checkout, and make sure the wallet is credited only after the payment is verified. With the Clearqo plugin, a customer adds funds, pays in USDT by Binance Pay, TRC20 or BEP20, and the wallet is credited automatically with exactly the amount received. Never more, and only once.
Why offer USDT wallet top-ups?
- One payment, many purchases. Customers top up once and then buy instantly with their wallet balance, with no crypto step on every order.
- Great for digital stores. Licences, game credits, subscriptions and other small, frequent purchases fit a prepaid balance well.
- Reach customers without cards. In many countries USDT is easier to use than international cards.
What you need
- WooCommerce with the TeraWallet plugin (WooCommerce Wallet) installed and active.
- The free Clearqo for WooCommerce plugin, set up and connected. If you haven’t done that yet, follow How to Accept USDT Payments on WooCommerce first.
Step 1: Set your store’s number of decimals
USDT payments use a unique amount such as 10.0023. To credit the wallet with every last digit, go to WooCommerce → Settings → General and set Number of decimals to 4.
This also shows store prices with four decimals. If you prefer to keep two, top-ups still work. The wallet is then credited rounded to two decimals, for example 10.00 for a payment of 10.0023.
Step 2: Check your top-up limits
TeraWallet lets you set a minimum and maximum top-up amount. Set the minimum to at least 1 USDT (or the equivalent in your currency), because very small payments are not worth the customer’s time and may fall below the gateway’s minimum.
Step 3: The customer tops up
- The customer opens their wallet in My Account, enters an amount, for example 10, and clicks the top-up button.
- At checkout they choose USDT — Binance Pay / TRC20 / BEP20 (or whatever title you set) and place the order.
- The payment page shows the exact amount, for example 10.0023 USDT, and your Pay ID and addresses.
- They pay. Within about a minute the page confirms the payment and returns them to your store.
- The wallet is credited with 10.0023 and the top-up order is marked Completed automatically.
How is the credited amount calculated?
For top-ups, the plugin sets the order total to what was actually received, converted to your store currency at the rate locked for that payment, before TeraWallet credits the wallet. This protects both sides:
| Customer sends | Wallet is credited |
|---|---|
| The exact amount, 10.0023 USDT | 10.0023, automatically |
| Less, 9.50 USDT (approved after review) | 9.50, never the original 10 |
| More, 12.00 USDT (approved after review) | 12.00, the customer keeps the difference as balance |
Payments that don’t match exactly can’t be confirmed automatically. The customer adds their transaction ID on the payment page, and you approve or reject the payment in your Clearqo dashboard. See what happens when the wrong amount is sent.
If your store is priced in another currency, such as PKR, the received USDT is converted at your own locked rate. How local-currency pricing works.
How is double crediting prevented?
Wallet top-ups are a favourite target for abuse, because a duplicated credit is free money. The plugin closes the gaps:
- Credit only after verification. A filter on TeraWallet’s credit blocks any wallet credit for a Clearqo order until the payment has been verified through the API. A forged “paid” status credits nothing.
- Never trust the webhook body. Every webhook is signature-checked, and the plugin then fetches the invoice from the API before acting.
- One confirmation at a time. The webhook, the thank-you page and the background check can all fire at once. Each order is locked while a payment is applied, so the wallet is credited exactly once.
- Replays rejected. Old or repeated webhooks are rejected or ignored, so re-sending an event never credits twice.
Testing your setup
- As a test customer, top up a small amount, for example 1 USDT.
- Pay the exact amount from another Binance account.
- Check that the wallet shows the exact amount, and that the order note reads “Clearqo payment confirmed” with the transaction ID.
- Open the thank-you page again and refresh it a few times. The balance must not change.
FAQ
Can customers top up with Binance Pay?
Yes. Binance Pay, USDT TRC20 and USDT BEP20 all work for top-ups, exactly as for normal orders.
What if the customer pays after the payment window ends?
An exact late payment is still confirmed automatically for 24 hours after the invoice expires, and the wallet is credited.
Can I refund a wallet top-up?
Yes. Deduct the amount from the customer’s wallet in TeraWallet and send the USDT back from your own Binance account. Clearqo never holds your funds, so refunds always come from you.
