Binance Pay ID Explained: How Customers Pay You
October 10, 2026 · 4 min read
A Binance Pay ID is a number that identifies your Binance account for Binance Pay transfers, much like an account number that can only receive. Customers enter it in the Binance app, choose USDT and the amount, and the money lands in your Binance account in seconds, with no network fee. It is safe to share: a Pay ID cannot be used to take money from you.
Where do I find my Binance Pay ID?
- Open the Binance app and tap Pay. On the home screen it may sit under “More”.
- Your Pay ID appears on your Pay profile and on the Receive screen, next to your QR code.
- Tap to copy it. It contains only digits, for example
384920117.
On the same profile you can see and change your Binance Pay nickname. That is the name customers see when they send you money.
Is it safe to share my Pay ID?
Yes. A Pay ID can only receive transfers. It does not reveal your email, phone number or balance, and nobody can withdraw or request funds from you with it. The only thing customers see is your Binance Pay nickname. That is why it makes sense to:
- Use a business nickname, such as your shop name, instead of your personal name.
- Show that same name on your payment page, so customers can confirm they are paying the right account. In Clearqo, enter it under Dashboard → Binance → Name shown in Binance Pay.
How does a customer pay with a Pay ID?
- On your payment page the customer copies your Pay ID and the exact amount, for example
15.0062 USDT. - In the Binance app they open Pay → Send, paste the Pay ID and check that the recipient name matches.
- They choose USDT, enter the exact amount and confirm.
The transfer is instant. With Clearqo the payment page checks for it automatically and usually confirms within a minute, then sends the customer back to your store.
Why does the amount have extra digits?
Binance Pay transfers don’t carry an order number that a store can read reliably. So each order gets a unique amount: 15.0062 for one customer, 15.0018 for another. When exactly 15.0062 USDT arrives during that order’s payment window, it can only belong to that order. That is how payments are confirmed without screenshots. Read how unique-amount matching works.
The extra amount is tiny, less than one US cent in most cases, and the customer’s copy button includes it automatically.
Binance Pay vs sending USDT to an address
| Binance Pay (Pay ID) | On-chain (TRC20 / BEP20 address) | |
|---|---|---|
| Fee for the customer | None | Network or exchange withdrawal fee |
| Speed | Seconds | Usually a minute or two |
| Risk of choosing the wrong network | None | Yes, the customer must pick the right one |
| Who can pay | Binance users | Any wallet or exchange |
| Transaction ID | Binance Pay order ID (digits) | Blockchain hash (64 characters) |
Offer both. Binance Pay is the best experience for Binance users, and addresses cover everyone else. See TRC20 vs BEP20 to choose networks.
How do I see payments I received?
In the Binance app, open Pay and go to its transaction history. Each incoming transfer shows the amount, the sender’s nickname and an order ID. In Clearqo, every confirmed payment also appears in Dashboard → Payments with its order reference and transaction ID, so you don’t have to cross-check by hand.
What if a customer sends the wrong amount?
The payment still arrives in your account. It just cannot be matched to the order automatically. The customer can add their Binance Pay order ID on the payment page under “Already paid? Add your transaction ID”, and the payment then shows up in your dashboard as Needs review, where you approve or reject it. Details: what happens with a wrong USDT amount.
Can I refund a Binance Pay payment?
Binance Pay transfers are final once sent. To refund, send the money back from your own Binance account, for example with Pay → Send to the customer’s Pay ID. A non-custodial service like Clearqo cannot send refunds for you, because it never has access to your funds.
